Privacy Policy

The short version

FieldWork is a disc golf practice app. It stores what you put into it — your account, your discs and your practice sessions — so it can show them back to you. It does not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps.

What we collect

Account: your email address, a username, an optional display name and an optional profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email that service shares.

Your bag: the discs you add, their details, and any photos of them you take.

Practice sessions: the putts, throws and scores you record. When you measure a throw, the app records the GPS position of the tee, the target and where each disc landed, so it can work out distance and accuracy.

PDGA number: if you connect one, we store the number and read your public rating and tournament results from pdga.com.

Goals and reminders: the goals you set. Reminder times are kept on your device.

Beta signups: if you join the beta on this website, we keep your email and which phone you have, only to send you an invite. Reply to any email from us to be taken off the list.

Location

Location is used only while you are setting up a field or marking a throw, and only while the app is open. It is used to measure distance. The positions are saved with the session they belong to. The app does not track your location in the background.

Who else handles your data

Google Firebase stores your account, your data and your photos, and handles sign-in.

pdga.com is asked for the public results of the PDGA number you connect.

Anthropic: to write the coach’s notes, a summary of your statistics (your approximate rating, percentages and counts — not your name, email or location) is sent to Anthropic’s Claude. You can read the coach without it; the numbers do not depend on it.

We do not use advertising or analytics services.

Who can see what

Your sessions, discs and bag are visible only to you. Your username, display name, photo and goals can be read by other signed-in players.

Keeping and deleting

Your data is kept for as long as you have an account. You can delete a session, a disc or a goal at any time.

You can delete your account from Profile → Delete account. That removes your account, your profile, your discs, bags, sessions, goals and photos. It cannot be undone.

Children

FieldWork is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so. Questions about your data go to the contact address below.
